  1. Hi guys. Looking for advice on how to fix the loose armrest on my 2013 Fabia Elegance please. I looked on the YouTube and can only find other VAG vehicles which are nothing like mine! any help most gratefully received, thank you in advance.
  2. I believe that is correct. Exact detail is sketchy and even two dealerships I spoke to couldn’t be 100% certain but my belief is that if a 1.5 engine is specified then discs are standard on the rear wheels. on another note I can find no info. On what type of usb sockets are fitted in the new Fabia’s. Anyone know please?
  3. Cheers! I think I found the answer on another thread. It’s located in the rear screen. I think it’ll look nicer without the antenna on the roof too!
  4. Secured myself a 24 plate new build (April) 1.5 Monte Carlo today which arrived in the UK built with rear disk brakes which I much prefer over drums. I’m slightly confused over Škoda policy with the disk/drum fitment? I’m led to believe that they were not being specified as a build option and discontinued as of November last year? However I’m pleased to have secured the build I wanted. One question… my new car comes with the panoramic glass roof, anyone know if the arial is still on the roof with it being glass? All the photos I can find show no aerial.
  5. Many thanks. I’ll take a look in the performance section and see what I can glean there.
  6. My 2013 1.6 TDI Elegance Fabia a little tired and outdated so off to the stealership on Sunday to take a look at the Monte Carlo. Anyone able to offer up any advice or tips prior to my visit. Also curious to know if anyone has mapped the 1.5 TSI unit that I’m interested in? I’m a little unsure about the DSG aspect of that 1.5 unit as for me a manual gives the driver ultimate control and a sense of engagement with the car and overall driving experience but I have heard good things about it but it’ll take some getting used to I expect? thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions.
  7. Yes. That is a possibility. Must be very slow. I asked my local garage to check power steering well over a year ago as it seemed to be getting a little heavier. They told me that they topped up the fluid and everything OK. I’ll have to live with it for the moment as I haven’t the time or money to be looking at stripdown/refurb or replacement rack/pump.
  8. All done. Bit of a pig to access as it’s slightly underneath the battery housing but just managed to get one of my hands in enough to undo the cap and used a funnel with some hose attached. Many thanks guys.
  9. Many thanks Jocko and Breezy Pete. I have the fluid and I’ll take a look tomorrow.
  10. Apologies if this has already been asked, I did search but couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. where is the filler cap to top up the power steering fluid on my 2013 Elegance please? is it under the battery as information elsewhere seemed to suggest? many thanks in advance.
