  1. Spent the weekend getting the bay ready to have the engine back in, Stripping all the old loom tape off and starting again, cleaning down the legs and I will probably flash over them quickly with some silver paint. I also tried to reroute the harness, get ever single plug and unravel it so I can run things neater All the old crap removed Pulling a plug out to demonstrate how I have got every plug, Unraveled so I can tape the plug that goto the same place together, Also I'm going to run the washer bottle water lines through the wing
  2. Thanks for taking the time to read it mate, cheers man
  3. If they come out like I have it in my head, we should be onto a winner! Im going to put a larger piece of silicone between the top boost pipe and the intercooler, which should hopefully allow for the movement
  4. Being having a think about the boost pipes and how I would like them to be, I know a few people on here have bought the eBay hard pipe kit and didn't think it was too bad, So I have ordered one Then instead of using a 90 degree elbow to the inlet I have ordered a 90 degree metal pipe to match the hard pipes, this will be cut to length and welded on, then the other side of the vband to the end of it After the hardpipes have been mocked up they can then goto paint, where they will be finished in bodycolour including the inlet
  5. Brilliant progress as usual, I like the silver against the crinkle black! Looking forward to the next update
  6. Not much to report back with until tomrrow night when the snail returns home. Cleaned up the gearbox mount bracket ready to be powder coated And a few new pictures have emerged which I love!! Me looking like a gorm in the background haha I'll get some more pics up tomorrow
  7. My mate has knocked me up an adaptor flange for the turbo to bolt into the exhaust manifold! Really nice bit of kit Should have everything bolted back to the engine Monday night
  8. Deffinate for me, Only ten mins from my house haha
  9. Anyone who has looked for these before knows they are really expensive, These are £15 brand new delivered, just thought some of you would find this useful! http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p4712.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.XVW+Lupo%2C+Skoda+Felicia+Fabia+%26+Seat+Arosa+-+OS+Drivers+Side+Front+Fog+Lamp+Ligh.TRS0&_nkw=VW+Lupo%2C+Skoda+Felicia+Fabia+%26+Seat+Arosa+-+OS+Drivers+Side+Front+Fog+Lamp+Light&_sacat=0
  10. Thanks mate! Haha perks of living in a farm, loads of heavy duty stuff. There really is at the moment, there will be some serious cars knocking around soon! That's more what I'm interested in, having a good solid figure, but with what engine not on the verge of blowing up!
  11. In brighter news I have a some photos of the engine now it's not in 1000 pieces Just waiting for my turbo and manifold back from my mate and it will be pretty much complete.
  12. Yeah it really is, Im going to send some pictures over to him tomorrow and see what he says, I wasn't going to get the actual shifter modified, I was thinking about a bracket that can be bolted through the exiting hole on the linkage with the new pivot point in the correct place, sort of like and extension.
  13. Well ill take one for the team and say they don't fit haha Ill get it sorted I always do
  14. Made good progress today again, all ancillaries bolted up, new oil feed in, manifold on, still waiting on turbo and exhaust manifold to come back from my mates. New sump fitted, but run into a problem with the quick shifter. Old sump off Weapons of choice to change the dipstick tube, what a slut of a job. As you can see the pivot point is miles out, gonna have to get my mate to make me up an adaptor that bolts through the old pivot point with a tube for the new pivot point to go through, not going to be easy, if the fulcrum is out I'm sure it won't engage gear. I'll have to have a think
  15. Brilliant progress mate, unforeseen problems always seam to crop up when your deep into a build haha
  16. Yes mate, going smoothed and colour coded :D I completely agree, I have also ordered a part that even skoda themselves have to order direct for, Its the heat shield that goes onto the bulkead, half material and half is like foil. Its going to come to around £110 for a heat shield haha But considering I have nothing in the engine bay I need it, as it will be very visible
  17. Gave the skuttle panel to my mate to weld up a few holes, cut some brackets off and smooth it over, Goin to drop it off at the painters this weeks sometime along with my light inserts then I can rebuild the lights and get this bolted back in the car
  18. Nice to see everything being kept OEM mate, I know how much patience it takes. Look forward to seeing how you remount the nozzle into the egr
  19. Just an example of refurbing parts after a few hours of ire brushing/splitting/taping [/url] Even refurbed the plug Wide array of random parts Also the new dipstick tube thanks to lofty for that one! Gave the headlight inserts a sand down too using my gf's nail file haha ready to be sent off for colour coding Should have some more exciting photos tonight if all goes to plan
  20. Made good progress tonight, Primed, painted and lacquered the tandem fuel pump, alternator (even masked over the copper to retain colour), water pipe. The list so far, I have repainted the oil housing, complete with new filter, O-ring and gaskets Tandem fuel pump painted, all new gaskets. Alternator refurbed Water pipe refurbed New dipstick tube (metal bit), new orange sleeve, new dipstick itself Repolished all the chrome Painted the gearbox and lacquered Painted the block and lacquered v-band welded onto inlet manifold, bolted up with a new gasket Waiting for exhaust manifold as I'm having an adaptor flange made, that can be bolted up with new gasket too. (refurbed the bottom oil return), Then the turbo can be bolted up with new braided oil feed, (new downpipes gasket too) Then I can start mocking up the hard pipes to be custom made. I really am getting there now, there will be pictures to follow soon
  21. Replied to your question over instagram mate! I appreciate that mate, you defiantly will. Should be ready in march
  22. I will report back deffinatly, aparentlynits a bit tricky to get it set up perfect but I like a challenge
  23. It wasn't cheap but its well worth it.
  24. So, some of you may remember me ordering my quick shift kit, well it turned up today! Really decent kit, Impressed with the quality and the detail, cant wait to get it fitted now!
