Front runner for now is the Citroen C5 Aircross, there's decent PCH  deals for this model with very similar pricing to what I paid last year.

Can't say I'd even considered the C5, found this deal on an 18month lease (5.8K), I need a minimum on 12k miles a year, good spec though, Leather trim, rear camera, park assist, 180bhp

The Karoq  has now done 7.6k miles so the engine is becoming more responsive, no oil used to date &  no problems either in the 15 months since March '18...I still find it bland though  Regards all.

I have the same spec and got it the same time, done just over 15k in mine and whilst it's nice and confortable, easy to drive etc. I can certainly agree it just feels like it's lacking something, only got 9 months left on my lease and seriously thinking about going for a smaller hatch next time, something a bit more engaging.

Wait a second, so before MY20 there was no coasting function in Eco mode with DSG? I was quite confident that there is one (don't have this car myself yet though).

Interestingly enough I drove a new golf 1.5 TSi DSG today, had it in individual mode (steering in Sport, engine in Normal) and it coasted, even cut the engine out completely st some points when coasting (rev counter dropped to zero), didn't have to have it in Eco mode and managed a ver impressive 64.9mpg !!!

I live in an area where there are lots of narrow roads and walls with road signs at various heights. Owners have complained that the beam hitting the lower signs is reflected back and the car dips the beam (probably thinking its a headlight).

When I had the auto dipping on my Octavia I found on very narrow lanes it wouldn't go into high beam, I always put this down to the general amount of light generated on dipped beam confusing the system into thinking it was lighter than it actually was, never had too much of a problem otherwise.

  5. The Faraday pouches 100% work from my experience, can stand right next to the car and it won't open (wifes Kia, not a karoq), just does not detect the key at all, as soon as you take the key out of the pouch the mirror unfold etc.

What have you got securing the wheel in the boot?

Don't have anything holding it in place, but theres nowhere for it to go, ther is no sideways movement even though there looks like there is space but is held in pretty tight once the boot floor is in place.

There is a posting somewhere on this site, which I can’t find now, from someone who said the Seat Ateca kit fitted, but I don’t know.

    Hi Bohmer,

Not sure about the full size spare, but I got an aftermarket space saver spare and jack etc.and ordered the polystyrene side piece from Skoda but it's embossed with the SEAT name !! Fitted a treat though :)

  8. Short trip I would steer clear of the diesels, 1.0TSi should be OK, my wife had the 1.2 Yeti DSG (same power) and it was perfectly fine round town etc. OK on the motorway to be fair would easily cruise along at 70-75ish.

SE Tech is also worth a look as you get the Sat Nav, front parking sensors and ACC all as standard.

    In 1974 I bought a new Austin Maxi 1750HL.

Ah memories, my first ever car back in 1984  (a 1972 Maxi 1750), but yes the gearboxes were problematic !!

Am I the only one who thinks that we worry too much about fuel consumption?

I used to have the Maxidot set on Average MPG, but there's little point it didn't influence the way I drove , just caused me to be more agitated about low figures when stuck in Birminghams rush hour traffic !! nowadays I just have it on MPH instead, much more calming !!

Is the auto-hold still turned on (button lit up)? If not, try pressing it!

Never thought of that, TBH I didn't know you could turn it off (why would you ?), still going to get the dealer to look at it, as I notice that even if you turn it off manually it doesn't give any indication on the Maxidot like I had after the parking brake failure warning. Might just be a glitch and never happens again (let's hope so).
