Made sure to get all his details..................Just in case.
Wife only got out of hospital last week after having meningitis and did not need this as she was already feeling C**P

Will pass that on. Thanks

Came out from the shop tonight to find my wife standing beside the car shaking. A person driving an automatic VW Passat had pulled in behind my car to let someone out. He says that he took the foot off the brake and moved forward hitting my bumper. Do not know how far he travelled before he hit the car. My wife got a terrible fright as she was sitting in the car. Paintwork seems ok as he hit the black plastic strip across the bumper.
Would there be any possible damage behind the bumper??
Will get a mechanic to check it out in the next few days.

The site says that you can roll back to IE6 by deleting IE7 using control panel(add and remove programs) if you are using service pack 2 with windows XP.
-
Have just started using Internet Explorer 7 which I downloaded from Microsoft. I think it has improved quite a bit from IE6.
Anybody else using it? What do you think??
-
During his last service the mechanic looked at the starter motor. Cleaned and greased it up. No squeal heard now.

'The car is running fine now but I hope that the same thing is not going to happen again when my car hits 60k miles especially as it is filled with oil recommended by skoda.

yup IBB seems to have a bad rep on boards.ie as does clearwire in some areas' date='
maybe as the contention ratio goes up the wireless services seem to drop off...
anyone know if its possible to connect to Smart without going through Eircom, we have a line installed we just cancelled the account, so we have a physical line?
failing that I'll just have to wait for chorus to upgrade installations in Swords :([/quote']
They still have to connect through the eircom line into the house. I am moving soon and Smart say they can arrange the new connection when I move (but it will still cost me

What about Smart telecom?

5/10 because of the problems i have had from the first 16 months unil now. 2 window regulators, timing chain, tensioner and guide rail (32k miles). Marks for the dealer involved in the latter would be even less.:thumbdwn: :thumbdwn:

Great ...Thanks

Came home today and tried to put up the windows before switching off the engine. Neither left or right windows would go up. Switched off the engine and re-started----still no joy. Locked the doors using the key and held it in place until the windows closed. When I drove the car a short time later they worked fine. Is this some usual gremlin in the electrics that causes this??
Any body else had this happen?

Thanks Gaff for the list on insurers to try in your earlier post. I am waiting on e-mails from a lot of them with quotes(With a BIG reduction for having no penalty points no doubt?????????????)............I wish.......But no doubt i would have my policy increased if I had some. Policy due in about 3 weeks so plenty of time to shop around.

Came back to my car tonight and found that my wing mirror was hanging off.
It was broken off at the point where it swivels when you push the mirror in and out. Are there any special glues that could be used to put it back together or will it have to be replaced??
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Bought the car first. Car broke down and had a search on google to see if any others had similar problems.
Now have to check every day for new posts to see what is going on with other people and their cars

Seat is fairly comfortable when kept upright. But still have to adjust on long journeys to make it sit right.
