FOR SALE - Briskoda 2016 Calendars
WookieeM replied to BriskodaCalendar's topic in Entrepreneur Zone
Magic. Thanks again for making these. 1 wall and 1 desk again for me. Payment etc to follow later tonight. -
I want storage outside my home for when it burns down. Or perhaps if it burns down! But the Pi is ace!
-
Ahhh now there's an idea, my Sonax BSD bottle is getting low, could give this a try if it comes up in the sale or not.
-
Nooooooooo. Garage is still well stocked from last year. Will keep an eye on it again though. Cheers for the reminder. Always room for a spare wash pad, possibly some wax, down to last bottle of tyre gel. A nice snowfoam lance deal would be good. Perhaps I'll say it all came from santa

Love this time of year. Weather acts as an intercooler. Swear it's got more pull.

Worthy of more investigation me thinks. Nice price, sync tool To test and will have some app integration. I have iPhone so more app integration the better, but 'free ' Dropbox will keep me happy for that if needed. https://onedrive.live.com/about/en-gb/plans/

I'm in the same boat, same Samsung offer. Dropbox is superb, with software compatibility with loads of apps, but paying £80 is a lot, when you're used to free. I have Amazon prime which includes file and photo storage, but only good if you use prime already. Software seems clunky and not found owt automagic yet for folder syncing. Not looked at the market for so long I may have to create a comparison spreadsheet cost features etc! Probably end up using 'free' Dropbox for files and home backup, with something else for photos (about 20Gb or less from memory) I'll update if I find anything useful / what I end up doing.

30 lots of votes seems low - Loads of active users and 30 votes. Maybe voting is too hard for some? No matter - Love the calendar and your efforts to bring it to us. Out of interest how many calendars were sold last year, roughly?

If it's not raining I'll be there.

Anyone xfered a private plate between cars
WookieeM replied to octavia5's topic in The Roadside Hotel
Not transferred between cars as my plate was new. But when assigning to the car it's instant now. DVLA site give your retention paperwork number and the V5 number. Message pops up 'you may fit this Plate now' or words to that effect cannot remember. Then wait for the paper V5 to follow. Assume this is because it's all online now, no need to get new tax disc etc. -
Track day insurance. My advice in 2 pictures
WookieeM replied to WookieeM's topic in Track Day Action
Yeah still got the video, not a lot to see as its out the front window, with a rear cam the truth of the manoeuvre would be clear. Not sure 'fault' matters - certainly no liability involved on track. They did not continue with the day, think they were told not to. -
Another vote for Sonax. Only if your a fan of beading!

Track day insurance. My advice in 2 pictures
WookieeM replied to WookieeM's topic in Track Day Action
Will do. The invoice is direct from the garage to me. I then deal with the loss adjuster who will help settle the claim with whoever underwrites the insurance, hence no mention of excess garage just deal with me as a private customer not an 'insurance job' Payout is direct to me. Plus or minus the excess, with I am expecting them to deduct from the payment. Whatever happens will be posted here as its all good experience. -

Hmmm, more reading may only apply if you have insured the excess also. Don't think I did. Arse. -

Oh wow now that would be good. Just read the policy again. I think your right! Excess has a different meaning on this policy. Happy is not a word big enough! Will update when confirmed and paid. -
mid 40s on average. check out fuelly.com to get real world stats. great tool.

I love my Blackline, had from new 46k on it, no intentions of letting it go. Great family car, great car for hooning around in too. Drives really well to me. How a car drives is relative to what you're used to. From your last two cars don't think you'll be disappointed. One bad side can be road noise. Drive one at usual speeds and judge yourself. As a package I can live with it. Mines a manual, DSG's generally seem to loved by owners never driven a DSG myself. Get a test drive, check prices and buy one now!

As stated no liability for them to pay. Not received anything never will. -
For stone chips, I just dab the colour in with a cocktail stick or a match stick end cut off at an angle. Never done it in coats for a stone chip, unless it's a crater size! Try to finish off with clear but takes skill to not end up with it proud so I don't bother. I gave up and now use Chip-Ex dead easy. Wash it and get rid of any wax oil etc with IPA wipe before starting. Disclaimer. I'm no expert, more experienced folk will pass by soon. Edit - if a mod can move this to Styling and car care then many will advise there.
