  1. Not sure on the part numbers but if you go to powerbulbs.com and say you're from a car club they should be able to organise some discount. You will need to search for H4's Phillips Clearvision lamps. They are excellent. Main beam is especially good. Would still prefer some xenon's though  Byee Lou
  2. Matt here......... Nice site, now back on topic Well the RS actually went down whilst I was driving, I'd just left for work and had been driving for about 10 minutes. I came out of a 30 limit, gave it some gas and splutter splutter, managemant light blinking like a good 'un! You'll know when it goes, you can't really miss it unless your used to driving 3 cylinder cars Needless to say I limped home and pick up my motor and got Lou to sort it  Matty
  3. Ah, all done! Took it in this morning and they had it fixed in a jiffy! I am now the proud owner of one coilpack ending in 'J'! I told the garage all about your responses so that they can put there tuppence-worth forward to Skoda but sounds like it is a 'very' common problem. I guess if all the dealers are complaining then they have to do a recall soon? Anyway, from what you all say it sounds like I'll have three more visits before I'm done! Oh, what fun! It's hilarious (if a little unnerving) driving the car with the coilpack gone ... it was like being in a boneshaker! I could swear people could see the car juddering! Cheers! Lou
  4. Hahaaaaaaaaaaa! Found a completely unsuitable avatar!! It will do nicely thank you!! Excellent, thanks for the info ... I'll let the garage know on Monday. Thank you, I feel welcome already and I may even manage to keep myself under control and put up with the rants should register!!
  5. Glad to be back! Sorry not been about but got sick and fed up with youknowwho's ranting! Believe me, I did my best, even considered leaping out of the water wearing bikini but couldn't upstage Halle Berry!! Hope you are good and that the Taxi is bearing up well. It's a really good site ... just need to find myself a suitable Avatar now! Lou
  6. Hi chaps! Poor bird. She has started mis-firing and the engine management light is doing its nut! There's a funny smell too. Now, either she has been drinking Vodka instead of her usual Optimax - hence getting the 'judders' or (as the garage suggested) the coil pack has gone caput! :( Is this a very common problem? The garage wanted to know because they said that if it was they would report it to Skoda HQ. Top marks to my local Skoda dealer (Grey Gables, Witney). It only went wrong tonight at 5:05 pm exactly ... I immediately phoned the garage who were still open and they were most distressed that they couldn't get it fixed for me this evening!!!! Ahhh, bless 'em! I said it was okay, and that I could wait until Monday but that I had an important meeting and that I would need a nice courtesy car. I suggested the owners Aston Martin Vantage but they politely declined and offered me a Fabia instead. Anyway, let me know and I'll let them know (if you see what I mean). Cheers, Lou ps, great site ... well done you lot!
