All DSG regimes are based on distance, across all Audi, Skoda, SEAT and VW . You might be thinking of the haldex regimes, which can be time or distance based, model/variant dependent
-
Based on that variant; If it's the 6 speed auto, then it's 40k. If it's the 7 speed auto, then it's 80k
-
Yes, so the sealed engines for the Mk3 superb are these variants: 1.4 TSI 7 Speed Automatic DSG CZEA 150 BHP 1.5 TSI 7 Speed Automatic DSG DADA 150 BHP 1.6 TDI CR 7 Speed Automatic DSG DCXA 120 BHP 1.5 TSI 7 Speed Automatic DSG DPCA 150 BHP
-
DSG can be sealed for life (no service), 38k or 80k for the skoda superb MK III, depending on the engine variant you have. Assuming it requires a service and is not sealed for life, it's 38k, unless it's one of these newer engines which is an 80k service. 80k service required on the following: 2.0 TDI CR 7 Speed Automatic DSG DFGA 150 BHP 2.0 TDI CR 7 Speed Automatic DSG DFHA 190 BHP 2.0 T FSI 7 Speed Automatic DSG DNUA 272 BHP 2.0 T FSI 7 Speed Automatic DSG DKZA 190 BHP 2.0 TDI CR 7 Speed Automatic DSG DSRB 150 BHP

I'd imagine there is a seperate oil light indicator, which would likely trigger before the service is due? From what i've heard about flexible / variable servicing, the oil light tends to come on early say 15k miles and the dealer will do the service at the same time
-
On the air con, they’ve just quoted the schedule but it’s pointless to have it carried out so soon so you were right to decline! The brake fluid change schedule is 1st at year 3, then every 2 years. Whilst it probably doesn’t need doing, i’d probably just do it purely because it’s brakes... With all this work though, they’re just following the manufacturers schedule, but I agree they should be checking instead of just going by the schedule
-
Air conditioning services are ‘recommended’ every 2 years by the manufacturer, so the dealer will simply follow that schedule. Air conditioning does not ever ‘need’ a service, there is no official interval, so just get it done when it stops working. It’s for sure just an upsell opportunity though, there’s no duty of care for it like a Cambelt or DSG oil

Would the VW RNS 310 / 315 units fit a facelift vRS? I'm looking for something very similar to the op, but am also running into the issues where the DAB/Bluetooth options aren't always there, so was considering the VW unit instead of the Skoda one as they all seem to have these features.

Bolero for Amundsen+, straight swap? Worth it?

How can you trust people when they lie like that haha -

Ah right that's interesting. Is there anyway to tell which ones have certain features? Do I need to look at RNS315 and not RNS310 for example? The descriptions from the sellers never really clarifies which features it has and I can't find anything online about it! -

Ah nice, so are you upgrading from the Bolero as well? So does the Amundsen+ definitely have built in DAB? I've seen most of the items on ebay have a GPS antenna, but no mention of any DAB extra kit. Let me know how you get on! -

Hi all. I'm looking to upgrade my bolero and was wondering if the Amundsen+ would be able to do the following: - sat nav - dab - Bluetooth streaming (from iPhone) - some form of iPhone integration to receive calls I found these on eBay, does this look like what I would need: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Skoda-Amundsen-RNS-315-RNS315-E-Navigation-System-Sat-Nav-VW-Seat-Replace-510-/301536991566?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item463501594e Comes with antenna and maps loaded, so I assume I would just need a new fascia? -
