  1. Hi, As I was doing some research to order a winter wheels set for the new Octavia, I came across this info in the Skoda Winter wheels brochure Until now, I have always stored my spare wheels set vertically in a rack like the below one and I never thought anything wrong of it: After doing more research, I understand the concern about upright storage would be to create a flat spot and degrade the tyres. Since the tyre rack does not have a flat surface at its bottom but two bars, would it still damage the tyres? Curious to hear your opinion on this. Thanks
  2. Morning, I can't seem to find a definitive answer on this one so hoping one owner could help. Is the TPMS system in the MK4 Estate (2.0TDI SE L First edition) a proper electronic one, which provide the tyre pressure or is it like in my current MK2 vRS, where it simply monitor the rotation speed vs the other wheels? I have a strong feeling that it is the latter as the manual does not mention pressure specifically. Thanks,
  3. Morning, I was thinking to do a further service on my vRS (12 plate and 114k) in 4-5 months and keep it for another 1.5y but came across a very good deal (I believe so at least ) yesterday and ended up ordering an Estate 2.0 TDI (113ps) SE L First Edition. I don't push the vRS so I don't I will miss the 60-dd missing hp. I look forward to the much improved interior and see how I get on with it. The MK2 proved rock solid; hopefully, I won't regret sticking with Octavia :) Coume
  4. Thanks everyone. I have replaced the blower and resistor and all is a good as new! The blower is very stiff to turn so I guess it is what died. Is there a way to test the blower and/or the relay? If one of the two is still good, I could resale it or keep it as spare.
  5. Thanks. I managed to source on ebay a cheap used blower with its resistor so I will try replacing both as I'm not sure which one is broken. fingers crossed that it will fix it.
  6. Did you have some air blowing or was it like dead when it was empty? I just done a scan but no error returned. I guess it's positive but it does not help pin pointing the issue.
  7. Thanks a lot. I have ordered a diagnostic box so hopefully Thanks to amazon, I will be able to see if there is any tonight. When I press ac or set the temperature, the fan settings leds adjust accordingly; however, absolutely no air is coming out. If I'm correct, I have highlighted the AC compressor in the attached picture. The belt is on and it is turning normally. If I put my hand on the blower under the glove box, there is no movement/vibration whatsoever. The fuses in the fuse panels are all good. Is there a way to tell if it's the blower or the controller before it?? Or could it be anything else? Thanks again
  8. Afternoon I just popped to the shop and realised that it was feeling hot and the A/C was not working. I found some threads saying to reset the AC, which I did but still no air coming out of the vents. Is there anything I could check or try? Cheers C
