  1. Morning I have a bit of a weird one since I still have a courtesy car, I can't measure it myself. Next time I visit France once I have the estate back, I will need to bring back a very old TALL clock.... It is approx 2.3m long ( Cf picture) do you think it could fit in the estate by folding forward the passenger seat? Thanks
  2. What is interesting is both the German owner and @VAGProfhad rev. B and 1668. I do wonder if anyone with rev A would be able to get it too or if more work is required for rev A.
  3. Have you thought about the Seat Ateca? Was given a brand new '21 one as rental so I can take it to France. It's using the same MIB as the Oct IV but it has more buttons on the wheels, proper knob/switch for the headlights/fogs and switches/knobes for the A/C. Negative with it is the built quality is not as good as a First Ed SEL and the consumption of the 1.5L TSi is much worst than the equivalent in the Octy....
  4. Decided to call Kate to see if she had better information than my dealership... They don't seem to be getting much info from the factory so my dealership was on the ball. In the meantime, my dealership just called and they will swap my car with a Seat Ateca, which I will be able to take abroad... From these two discussions, I don't see the SW release being made for another 2-4 weeks.
  5. Due to my grd-ma being back in hospital in France, I may have to go there promptly and for a while so I have enquired with the dealership to understand the status of the SW fix. He seemed to believe that it is at least a couple of weeks away. As I have a courtesy MK4 First Edition with the same issue, I could not take it abroad so it's either they or Skoda can provide me another car. The insurance for going abroad is likely to be an issue too so depending how the discussions go over the next few days, I may have to reject the car even if it is really not what I would like to do.
  6. Did it give you any additional features with Skoda connect?
  7. That's an interesting curve ball! So are you saying that the device part number 5E3035816B is now updated to 5E3035816F ? My understanding was that 5E3035816B was linked to a hardware revision rather than a software one. Is the Hardware still saying H56 or has it upgraded too?
  8. Did you check the date of this article?
  9. Interesting. How do you know if your keys are ones going to sleep? I have opted for a RFID blocking keybox at home as I was unaware of this sleep feature.
  10. That's an interesting curve ball... I thought she had confirmed recently to other members that the kmh/mpg fix was due this week or did I dream this?
  11. I haven't had any update in over 10 weeks from either the dealership nor Kate. In fact, a single call from her when she was trying to reach someone else Anyway, my car is showing as unlocked so they may have moved it back into the dealership to perform the upgrade... fingers crossed.
  12. My courtesy car (1.5TSi First Ed) has the same issue (happens every time I drive it), which I don't believe existed in car 2.0l TDI First Ed. I can't get this car to really A/C at a given temp. The loud clunk often happens after 30s-1min but then can randomly occurs. I found that turning off the A/C and moving the manual ventilation and then A/C on again was sometime fixing it. Once I get my car back with the kmh/mph fix, I will be monitoring the A/C closely as I would not accept to keep a car with such issue.
  13. @TheUltraRunnersame here. I did not think this version was available < D versions.
  14. Interesting. Thanks for sharing this. My courtesy SE L First Edition is running much older versions than yours. 42.86.60 which seems to be released on July 27, 2020 I did not proceed with the SW update, which was available as a menu option.
  15. However, 1803 is only available on the latest HW variants I believe.
  16. What HW version and SW were you running?
  17. @Bouncypete https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163705017827
  18. Same charger as @snealbut with a cheaper cable from eBay
  19. It is interesting that the level of updates seems to vary significantly. For me, I have pretty much zero update, nor courtesy call. I had one call from Kate Laws on April 9th, she was trying to ring another customer. I informed her that I already had a courtesy car for 3 weeks and I haven't heard from her since...
  20. @snealMine was brand new so I was able to add the 5y manufacturer warranty. From the paperwork that was in the car, I believe it came off the line on June 30th so would have been in stock in the UK for few months as I bought it on Feb 27th from Citygate Slough.
  21. Glad you got sorted. It will be interesting to see if my dealership is trying to do a buy back for mine at some point. And the Week 25 is very interesting as mine must have been one of the last bad one...
  22. Afternoon Has anybody got this warning when using Skoda Connect? I have been checking every other day whether my car has moved, while Skoda UK and the dealership sort the various issues but last night, I got this warning? Would that imply that Skoda Connect disable itself when the car remain stationary for a long period of time?? Thanks
  23. Interesting development by a very proactive dealer! I had a mk2 TDI VRS but the MK4 VRS pricepoint is now much higher than what I would have been willing to spend for one. It had a good mpg when driven sensibly. I guess it would depend how much you paid for your SEL in the first place (large discount or not) and whether you could stretch to the top up. If you get a good deal on the vrs, it may be a great move to put everything behind but it will come with higher tyre costs, etc. On the positive, a newer car, etc. I'm in no rush so happy to wait for mine to be fixed or replaced but I will not commit more cash.
  24. I don't believe the issue had been escalated to factory nor had the legality of it been understood by Skoda UK until March 21.
