Which version of software are you running? I never experienced that with the courtesy cars (Octy or seat ateca) over 8,000 Miles...

Having been upgraded to latest SWs, I am experiencing a new issue with Carplay. The colours go and it gets pixelized. It has happened twice in three drives since collecting the car earlier today... Has anyone experienced something similar? Thanks

Yes, it was one of them. I had 4 in total: 48P9, 69BN, 91CP and 97EQ

FYI, collected the car earlier today, my no suffix is now updated to an F variant and software 1810 so it answers my previous query on whether no suffix PNs would see the 18xx SW revisions. Too early to say if all is resolved as I just drove 19miles since collection.

Got an email to confirm that mine is ready for collection. Asked confirmation that all pending campaigns were done prior to collecting it so I guess I should have it very soon.

Interesting. 91CP was released on Oct-28th so I wonder if it includes anything in addition to the digital instrument panel.. May I ask what is your current SW version? Are you like @snealwith 5E3035816 / Hardware: H56 / Software: 1668?

Spoke to Kate this morning and she confirms the Virtual cockpit is being replaced sometime next week so looks like the solution tested by @snealis the one going ahead.

what I will be trying to find out is whether the system info without a suffix letter will remain on their early SW or will get upgraded to the latest one which all revision from B seems to be getting now…

I don't believe that it is what they tested on @sneal car.

As 91CP does not refer to Software, I wonder if it could be the Virtual cockpit replacement that has been signed off. If anyone has any details of 91CP, I would be interested to hear from you.

Last week, the email update I got was that I would be called this week to provide an update, so I assume they must be close to making their decision for the resolution...

Even the first device PN finishing by xxxx5816 (no letter)? Have you got a reliable source for this?

@snealIt will be interesting to see if they do further SW updates on yours or whether it will remain @ 1668 since it looks like people of revision B onwards get upgraded to 1806 now and version F. I don't believe anyone with revision A (no letter) moved to F and 1806 yet.

Great stuff. Having the clock on the dash of the second loaner made me realize how useful it is!

Fingers crossed that you are sorted. What SW versions are now reported by the MIB? If they replaced the virtual dashboard, is it safe to say that you have the clock displayed on it too now?

What is when you were leaving the vehicle? I had discovered that my loaner SE L First Ed had a similar issue in a specific condition. If you were to open the door, when there was on coming cars in your blind spot it would flash the usual warning in the mirror and beeps; however, it would sometime keeps beeping for a while after locking the vehicle.

In case anyone was curious about this, it fitted surprisingly easily in the seat Ateca (smaller than the octavia estate). The trick was tilt the passenger seat backward, to remove the front door of the clock and to slot the headrest inside the clock. It is totally secured and no movement whatsoever but glad it is still my courtesy car as a week of DIY (painting, etc.) was not kind to the car cleanliness.

I'm like @snealand I still drive a courtesy car. I took delivery of mine on a Thursday evening and kicked off the non compliance the last weekend of Feb. I only drove mine for 10days or do. I was given an Octavia First Ed but was switched to a seat Ateca once I had to drive to France for family matters. I have little update/communication from Skoda UK nor the dealership; however, they have been really good sorting the courtesy cars and getting me one with French insurance/etc. As long as I get my car by early December, I'm happy to wait... But then, I would need a European covered car with winter tyres as I had bought winter Skoda wheels for my ski trips.

Now I'm curious to know if this PN is the same HW as 5E3035816x and it is a pure SW upgrade or whether there is a BOM revision, etc.

Interestingly, I just received my renewed courtesy rental agreement but this time, it is not for a full month again, so they must be confident that the fix will be released in the 2.5 weeks.

Thanks a lot for this very detailed post! I like the look of the obdapp. I just wonder if enabling the rear light when you don't have the full LED matrix, whether it would simply enable the outside rear light or whether the ones one the boot would be activated when they are usually off.

Thanks a lot @snealmuch appreciated. Really surprised that the front seat cannot be folded forward more. I will be the only passenger so I will have to try to lay the front seat back and hope it fits. Otherwise, I guess it will be roof bars! And hope the 1800s wood stay put...
