We have a 2014 Octavia Vrs 184 Tdi & tow a 2008 Eriba Troll 552 GT, regularly average 38-40 mpg going back & forth from the North East to the Lake District at motorway speeds, good stable towcar with plenty of poke in reserve....😁

Slightly off topic but I've just put my parents unmarked Citigo Monte Carlo details into WBAC, 18 plate with 5500 miles........8 GRAND!! I got it for them through Carwow March 18 for £9600, WBAC offered £5500 at 4700 miles Febuary 20!

I've got a 2014 Octavia Vrs hatch & found the interior quite "boomy" at speed, I've spent around £50 on Dodo mat sound deadening pads that I bought off eBay & completely covered under the back seat base & the entire boot floor including the spare wheel well, there's a definite improvement in noise reduction & well worth the modest outlay.

Now seems to be back from the dead! New V5 issued February & currently taxed.😁

Car now up for auction on Synetiq salvage website as a category S write off.

Guessing this was written off & sent on its way as showing untaxed since 14th December & no longer on insurance database.

Just stumbled across you're cure for this after 7 months of misery trying to diagnose the same fault.......& It's worked on my car!! Mine started in Febuary after having a new windscreen fitted, I have just wedged a small microfiber cloth between the pipes till the weather improves & I can fix it properly.

The blue badges look spot on! Ive just ordered 2x 90mm ones from Aliexpress this morning, hopefully they won't take months to arrive!

Big Fish tuning in Stokesley, had 3 cars remapped there over last ten years, highly thought of in Vag community.

Finally managed to book my parents 18 plate Monte Carlo in for its belated second service at Pulman Skoda, cars done 4600 miles & all that is renewed are oil filter & pollen filter, & the price.........£214! Parents are retiring from driving next year so car will go back to Volkswagen finance before it's 3rd service & Mot are due.
