  1. Thanks everyone. It looks great I know, but it was quite a few hours before I could say "mission accomplished"
  2. In the morning it took sometime before he could started it up. That's all I know. Have you run proper diagnostic on it? What faults did it come up with? Sent from my HTC using Tapatalk
  3. It's very easy, once your engine is dead cold. 2minutes job. Sent from my HTC using Tapatalk
  4. Hi Outofthi5world, Thanks to you and this thread I've spent over £80 for my cleaning products over the weekend . Just kidding . It was worth it. My car was never so clean and smooth. I thought I will share my experience too: 1. washed the car with two bucket method 2. Applied clay bar along side with quick detailer (mcguire's clay kit) 3. Polished it 4. Waxed it 5. Glass polish 6. Wheel cleaner 7. Tyre seal Most of the products were by Autoglym apart from Clay bar. results? Brilliant
  5. Hey, nice to see someone from around here. Anyway, my friend had same trouble with his Golf GTi. Just couldn't start in the morning. We went to garage to get fault readings and it was same. Camshaft sensor etc... bla bla bla. We have fitted both sensor and problem was still there. Then after some forum digging job I found someone with same problem. It turned out it was a coolant sensor (temperature sensor). So we replaced coolant sensor and problem is gone. I am not saying that this will be same solution for your problem, but it worked for us.
  6. I will try that. As I said I was replacing my steering wheel recently and I will be doing it again over the weekend, so I will give it a good clean and check all the connections.
  7. It would be great if I could get VRS seats with airbags, that would definitely solved the problem.
  8. I think I will ask some other auto electrician if they can do it for me.
  9. My mechanic told me he can disable all airbags but can't disable seats only.
  10. Hi I've scanned the page with fuses. I can't see it anywhere. No 9 is ABS,ESP, Haldex coupling no mentioning of an airbag
  11. Ok, so i went to check the fuse and guess what... I couldn't find it. I check all the fuses just in case and all of them are fine. However I still wanted to know which one it is, so opened Haynes manual and Skoda manual, but I could not find the fuse for airbags. Anyone knows which one it is?
  12. Well well well. That should be first thing to check I believe right? ... No I didn't  . Thanks matey
  13. The true is that I have replaced my steering wheel recently as well, but it was in the car for good few weeks with no faults. I've checked the steering wheel as well as everything else. Everything seems fine, but it isn't. It would be great if I had a VAG-COM so I could reset it myself all the time, but I can't be calling my mechanic everyday to do this.
  14. I've clean my engine bay with Carplan engine degreaser and used brush for stubborn dirty bits. And I also used a pressure washer without any problems . However I run into a problem when taking off the Engine Cover. The foam padding thingy fell apart. Have you got any idea what can you replace Engine Cover Foam padding with? Look at photos so you know what I'm talking about.
  15. Well, I am a proud owner of the 02 reg Octy Elegance. Few month ago I began with project of transforming my loving TDi into VRS replica. Everything went well until about a week ago when I replaced the original seats (with airbags) for VRS seats (no airbags). I was very aware of airbag light coming on if you not going to bypass it somehow. I've found on different forum how to do this. I went down to Maplin bought two resistors and plug them in airbag connectors under the seats. Everything was OK for about a day. I even passed my MOT the next day. And then airbag light came on. So I thought I will check all the connections etc. Everything fine. Called my mobile mechanic to reset the light and thought it was over. Well, 15 miles later light came on again. Is there anyone who experienced something similar or same when replacing standard seats? Any solutions are more than welcome! Thanks guys!
  16. Managed to get one from "KrissTheMiller". Thanks anyway
  17. Well it would certainly save me a lot of money doing it this way .I am thinking of having a go with Blacksmoke now. Really tempted. Did you tell your insurance about it? And if so, how much did it go up?
  18. Hey again, Is your tailgate VRS badge still for sale or you no longer have it? Thanks
  19. I know, I could find this one too, I just wasn't sure if you need something else to attach this to your grill. By something else I mean this: It is clear for me now, that all I need is self-adhesive badge which can be stick on it's own to grille and can be used with a bit of a glue just for the peace of mind. What type of gorilla glue have you used? Thanks
