IPOD connection on an AUDIENCE head unit??!!

Featured Replies

Been looking at the Dension products and they all seem fine and dandy, but I don't think they work on an Audience; am I right? I'd like to have control from either the stereo or multi-function steering wheel as opposed to ****ing about with the Ipod wheel, but I can't find anything definitive on this forum to tell me whether it definately would or wouldn't work.

Seems the block to connect the external CD autochanger on the Stream unit isn't on the Audience, and that's where I think you would plug it in, but can anyone confirm this? Has anyone managed to hook up ANYTHING where you can control an Ipod with an Audience head unit?

Any ideas?

This is correct, it is not possible in anyway to control an ipod from the audience HU. You can use an aux-in lead into the audience to play an ipod through the audience, but you will need to use the ipod itself for control.

That's what I thought.

Oh well, i'll just have to wait until it innevitably f*cks up after my warranty ends and replace it with an Alpine unit!

I am on my second Audience HU after the first one packed up, so you never know.
