Quick brake light question

Featured Replies

Morning All

If my brake light switch was knackered would the high level light in the rear screen still work. Is it some sort of dual switch or is just that my brake bulbs have popped.:rolleyes:

TIA

If the switch goes, the brake lights stay on all the time AFAIK...

Nice one :thumbup::thumbup:

In that case both my bulbs have popped.

Cheers to the blue Impreza driver for letting me know just now

Yeah, it's unusual, but it happens that both bulbs go together.

Dunno if a mk4 golf has the same wiring as your car, but when the brake light switch went on mine, none of the brake lights including the high level one worked.

For the cost of a switch (about a fiver) I'd change it anyway.. :)

:cool:

Al, I think Fatty meant he'd lost both side brake lights but the high one still worked, so it's not the switch.

Correct again Ken.

All sorted now 2 new bulbs and I'm up to scratch :)
