Fabia Bulbs

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just a quick question.

Did the Fabia come with a double filement bulb which would cover the brake and tail light??

The reason I am asking is beacuse Halfrauds little light bulb guide sold me a double filament bulb for my 2005 fabia when it should have been a single Filament bulb.

Their guide says a 2003-2006 fabia should have a double filament bulb, and that a 2003 should have a single filament bulb in the case I had to get one.

Much annoyence to me as I'm trying to install the brake light bulb and it would not go in.

Cheers

Davy

I had the same problem, just took it back and they changed it no problem. The double filament is for the tail and fog and the brake is a separate single filament (I think it was labelled as the fog in the Halfords book).

Brake lights should be single filament 21W

Tail/Fogs are twin filament 21/4W

And can you hand on heart trust anything Halfrauds has to say?

I had the same thing when I bout a brake light bulb at Halfords. I couldnt be bothered to go and change it , I just went to the Skoda garage and bought one from there , at least it was the right one that time!! Stupid Halfords - I wonder if anyone has pointed out to them that their fitment guide is actually wrong??!

Probably not ! Otherwise they'd probably have changed it by now.

I pointed it out last night but did not seem to care.

Too busy cycling their bikes!

One of my brake lights went the other week and ended up in a similiar position, with the bulb a double filament and a different means of mounting than the one in there. So the fact i managed to twist it in to the socket probably wasnt a good idea! It does work though. I'll get round to getting the correct ones eventually.

The halfords customer reference guides are sh!te and thats from someone who used to work at a halfords.

They are rarely right. Crap things, had so many complaints from customers who used them and got the wrong buld.

personally i think they shoudl scrap the ref lists and just use the computers which are online and up to date. the ref lists never get updated.
