Featured Replies

alright peeps, just recently bought my vrs. only had it a couple of days and the engine managment light came on:thumbdwn:. my boyfriend took it to his mates garage and shot it on the computer and it threw up loads of old codes that were stored. they cleared it which took the light off only to find in a couple of days to come on again. then went off :confused: i havent been able to get a feel for the car but my boyfriend reckons its a bit flat thru 3rd 4th and 5th. has anyone had this problem?

many thanx

charlie

If you can get the new fault codes, it will be more of a help in disgnosing your problem.

Agreed. They did do exactly the right thing in clearing down old codes, so they can see what the error actually is.

Could be the MAF playing up. Try un plugging it and see if it's any better after that. If it is, you will need a new one.

I recently had similar after a 40k service was told it was maf but ended up being turbo hose....

agreed with above get the new codes as this will eliminate a few problems that it could be and hopefully lead you to the main problem:thumbup:
