Post service blues?

Featured Replies

My Octy has just had its first 10k/12 month service. As soon as I picked up the car and in driving today I notice that acceleration appears a bit more "slow". I know the pd tdi and dsg combination have never been swift from take off but there is a definite lag between putting foot on the gas and something happening.

Would the dealer reset anything during the service? I'm thinking that if the dsg box learns my normal driving style maybe it was rest and will have to learn again?

I don't know but it doesn't feel the same some how.

Did they perform the ECU update to your car whilst it was in?

If so, could explain it. Stu can better advise the effects and tell-tales of the update.

What ECU update? I did wonder if they had played with any dsg software but there was no mention of any ecu/dsg update on the service sheet.

They updated mine and I noticed the same. Have to say though that I actually prefer it. It feels more controlled and it has stopped the infrequent but very annoying stalling I was getting with the DSG.
