reverse light switch

Featured Replies

hello everyone, i have a skoda fabia 51 plate 1.4 8v and the reverse lights don't work. Have checked fuses on side of dash[ok],have renewed bulbs[ok] and still no lights! Presume it must be the reverse light switch but don't know were it is? can anyone help? please:)

Welcome :)

So is it the reverse lights or brake lights that dont work????

sorry my bad reverse lights doh!

Then yes it could be the reverse light switch on the gearbox, but what also can happen is Skoda (and VW, SEAT all do the same) make the wiring loom onto the switch too tight. The rocking of the engine snaps the connectors off.

where is the switch located and are they expensive to replace?

Front of the gearbox, about £10 iirc.
