Help with a fault code please

Featured Replies

I checked a friend's Seat today as he said his car batt went flat, and since he got a new one, there is a beeping noise, and lights flashing all over on the dash!!

I put my reader on, and the first thing was I could not read 01 (engine), something about Baud rate??

the other majour fault was: 01176 - Key

07-10 - Signal to Low - Intermittent

I know this is to do with the imobilisor key, but why can't 01 be read?

Any ideas?

Baud rate I think relates to the communication speed of your diagnostic equipment. what lead and software are you using?

The key signal fault wll only stop the car running, it still will start and tbh as its int not really a main issue.

I'm having to use an old cable I got of ebay as the car is 2001, as I only have a micro can cable, I was using vag com 311-2

Tried the changing of the baud rate, but it did not help?

Thanks though.
