£230.00 inc VATDescription

The Jabbasport induction kit has been designed specifically for the 20v turbo engine, with development carried out on our rolling road giving a 4-6 BHP increase.

Included in the kit is a cold air separation panel, this allows only cold air to pass through the air filter, reducing overall intake temperatures & therefore increases power. The other important development was the alloy air straightening tube; this is a ‘tuned’ length of tube that ensures correct air flow through the ‘Air Flow Sensor’.

What are these like?

There's no way I could justify spending £100+ on an induction kit personally, £230?! Madness!

lol but the jabba will match all my blue hoses lol

I have blue hoses as well tip and boost hoses:thumbup:

But the BMC well match the carbon engine cover you will buy as well:orb_hypno

Come and cut my engine cover please, that looks really smart

Actually, I never realised that it had been cut. I just checked some more images here, and see what you mean. There should be a raised piece

The previous owner must have done it along with all the bling. Looks better cut off though.

Cheers

I'm the previous owner and admint to cutting the engine cover... if i'm honest at the time i didnt want to cut that much off, the recirc valve had cracked the engine cover in the "humped" bit as it fouled. Cutting it back was more functional than for looks, once it was done i was chuffed with it though as it showed more of the hoses and recirc off.

The hoses (full boost kit and TIP) were Samco and a PITA to fit. The bling was from Awesome (think most of the caps were for the VW Beetle) and the inlet manifold is externally polished and i couldnt recommend fitting one yourself unless you are a regular Haynes 5 spanner man ! I'm not and it took a whole day, lots of swearing and bloody knuckles. Still, its looks the penguins plums.

Belcher - Hope the car is still serving you well, i still think about it when i see another vRS !

Do a search under my username... i'm pretty sure i put a report with pics up on here at the time.

The kit was pretty straight forward to fit, i had to cut the heat shield a little as it caught the wing but thats nothing really.

The stainless pipe from the filter to the MAF was a bitch, i had to "shave" the leading edge of the MAF housing to fit the pipe and there is no way that it was ever going to come off again, i took the oppurtunity to mod the MAF housing at the time, there used to be a popular mod (taking the gauze / grille out of the MAF to (supposedly) make the air flow a bit better...

NB: I never noticed the difference but it made cleaning the MAF sensor much much easier.

Hi Nige.

Car still serving me well. I have had to resolve a number of issues over the 18 months or so. However, these were either self inflicted, or wear and tear. I broke a drive shaft and bent another (thanks Jabba ) which cost me over 600 squids. Then the water pump exploded in the engine which I had changed for the brass one. Also had the sensors, tensionors, and cambelt done at same time. This was well over 500 squids. Now on 4 new Michelin HP Primacy tyres (not cheap). Various minor issues, etc. Everybody comments on how clean the car is and "Wow" when the see under the bonnet.

Bad news though. I miss my MG ZT so much that I have decided to change back and get another. Whilst the VRS most certainly gave me the "big grin" factor, there was just something about the ZT! The VRS is going to a suitable good home though. A mate from work is buying it whom is more into his cars than I am. It'll certainly be cared for.

BTW - The next ZT is the 4.6L V8 Mustang version :D:D Screw the government and the tax man - if that's what I want, then I'll have it :finger: Why should I let them force me not to?

Cant fault the choice of new motor mate, and as you say the RS is going to be looked after still.

Good luck fuelling the v8... i saw one with a nice exhaust system on once, sounded mental !
