Throttle body oil leak

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have a slight oil leak from the throttle body on my 1.9 TDi PD130.

The stealer quoted £300 to get it fixed which must mean I can fo it for a lot less =)

I have been told that its most likely the gasket in the throttle body that needs replacing. Can you buy just the gasket or would I need to buy a new throttle body to fix the issue?

Any suggestions or pointers welcome.

Cheers,

Paul.

Are you meaning the egr valve? the top hat shaped unit that sits to the left of the oil filler protruding through the engine cover?

If so this is common on the car.

Thats the EGR and they are about £150 new from dealer and would reqiure a new sealing ring when fitting.
