Just a software tweak, took less than ten minutes. Got the software (VDC Pro) with the cable although I already had a copy.

I don't mind doing it for you sometime but please be aware that I have only done it the once to my own car and I'm not a professional!

I used the information I found at Passat World Forums to do it.

So as long as your CCM unit is one of the ones listed it should be no problem. VDC pro or VAG COM will tell you which CCM you have, mine was 1C0 959 799 B, yours might be the same depends on the year I guess.

I have the same CCM unit as your but im not getting past the login stage using code 19283, i enter it and it takes me straight back to the Central Conv menu. Did you have any probs?

Once you have logged in using the 19283 code and have gone back to the CCM menu, type in 27 (write serial eeprom).

Can you only do this the way you did it then? Absolutely no way of doing it with the latest full VagCom? (USB)

The only way I know of doing it is with VDC Pro or with a KVW100 device both from vagproducts or with an Alientech controller.
