Internal Monitor Problem

Hi,

My 1.9TDi has won't turn off the internal monitor when locking (twice) using the remote or the key. It was working about a week ago, but although the double locking comes off the monitor won't.

Since I got the car I've noticed that when I try to open the rear passenger door (driver side) I have to pull the external handle twice for it to open 50% of the time. I thought of this as a minor niggle but now I wonder if the problems are related at all.

The car is only 14 months old, should these kind of faults be covered under the warranty?

Any diagnosis and comments appreciated.
