thanks for replying mdk1 and cheezemonkhai. have you used these places yourself?

JKM are a well respected site sponser.

Yes I have used both.

JKM are popular, but I find they tend to quote as much or more than my main dealer, to me at least.

Monks did a first class job for a lot less than any other places. They are also closer to you :)

I can't fault them. That plus I never see Monks advertise, I heard by word of mouth, and even though they are up in a old farm building out of the way they always seem busy with plenty of work on. IMHO always a good sign.

Monks specialise in the VAG group cars and there are plenty of Audi's there.

had car serviced at monks yesterday and am quite happy with the result. mechanic was quite friendly and happy to share his knowledge when questioned by me. even gave me the left over oil to take home which a lot of places dont seem to do these days which is annoying when ive paid for it!

minor service using 5w-30 longlife oil £140.

thanks once again cheezemonkhai.

Not a bad price that , more than DIY but a good discount over the dealers.

Very friendly up there too I found :)
