Headphones???

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody knew a good website to get headphones from as the ones that I have for my laptop have packed up.

I'm looking for the ones that go over the ears?

If anybody knows a site, that would be great!!

Have a look at [Maplin > headphones They've a large selection of different sizes/weights/prices. If you sign up for their newsletter you'll prob get extra discount

I use scan.co.uk for all things computing. There normal, non gaming range seems to be predominantly sennheiser. Remember they do charge a delivery fee though, so you might be tempted into buying other items making the nights shopping much more expensive!

TV and Radio use predominantly Sennheiser Headphones, especially ones that cover your ears. I don’t think I have ever heard a duff pair and some are outstanding, if a little pricey.

Opps, I said about in ear too

Over ear, Bayer Dynamic or Senni :)

I always buy Sennheiser headphones, I got the current ones (HD515 I think) from John Lewis and the sound is really good.

Ok, thanks very much everybody, will trawl through the websites and have a good look.

I did look at the Sennheiser ones and they do look good.

Don't really want anything too expensive, just for use with the laptop while SWMBO is watching Eastenders or something along the lines of that type of ****. :D

Cheers

i use sennheiser and akg headphones at work and both are pretty good

I use Sennheiser OMX70 sport earphones on my mountain bike and they are excellent i have even ordered a spare pair from PLAY.Com.Very good sound and dont fall off when riding technical singletrack.I use Sennheisers at home aswell when swmbo goes to bed and i am watching a dvd.

Another thumbs up for Sennheiser:thumbup:

I’ve used Sennheisers for over 20 years and have found them reliable, tough and very comfortable in every guise.

You can't go far wrong with Sennheiser ones TBH. But I always like to go for something slightly different from everyone else. Over the ear ones I have used include Bose, AKG, Grado, Goldring, Skullcandy, Sennheiser etc etc. All are good for different types of music. Bose are good all round but bloody expensive for what you get! AKG are good and not too pricey. Grado are the Rolls Royce of headphones but expect to pay anything up to £1000 for some of those, I think their cheapest are about £80 but they are open backed any therefore SWMBO will hear your music and you will still hear Eastenders!

I would go for AKG probably. Or buy some in-ear ones! I have some Etymotic Research ER6i in ear headphones and they are OUTSTANDING!! The Bass is crisp and clear and their all round ablility is IMHO FAN-BLOODY-TASTIC!
