freeware utility

QuizoApps: QTAddressBar

21893.attach

An example from my system

21894.attach

Under View > Toolbars I've disabled Address Bar and enabled QT Breadcrumbs Bar

For those who don't know this feature (from Vista) it enables you to quickly navigate to different folders / drives and even the Control Panel.

Very nifty little tool

If that's in Vista, how do you turn it on? looks quite good??

No No

Vista has this but XP does not - until now.

Download program, install it. Log Off and then log back on and then open an Explorer window and go to View menu, then toolbars - as I said, untick Address Bar and tick QT Breadcrumbs Address Bar.

Then go to Tools > Folder Options > View and click on 'Apply to All Folders'

I have Vista....I may have confused things here :)

Does Vista have it on already or shall I download the program?

Vista has it already i.e. you do not need it.

And, can't remember how you 'turn it on' as it's a while since I was on Vista.

TBH I thought it was on by default.

Ah!!! See what you mean.

I'm going to download it for the xp comp though!!
