Embarked on what is possibly the stupidest journey for work I've ever done.

I had to get a van from one location to another - simple enough but when the starting point was Watford, the van pick up point was Woodstock in Oxford and the drop off point was Thorpe St Andrew near Norwich.

Needless to say, I chose the longest in terms of mileage (381 door to door) which also happened to take the shortest amount of time - the total on the trip was 7hrs 15m

Still averaged about 50mph and about 58mpg

Brimmed the tank using the vent technique and the trip showed 381 miles and a range of 415 left.

Crazy. I'm going down the pub now!

So all that good mpg and the couple of £ you saved, and you spend it on boose!!!

Back down the M40, past where I started....M25...M11...etc

Could have gone across country but it was about an hour longer for 40 miles less!
