ABS problem

Featured Replies

Hi there

i have a problem with the abs on my car and have the abs and traction light illuminated and also when i drive intermittently the red brake warning light momentarily flashes on and i get audible beeps at the same time

i've had it plugged into my vagcom and it won't allow me to read the codes in the abs module but in the engine fault codes i have a code of 18057 which seems to indicate that the abs module is not communicating with vagcom, wondered if the fault was with my laptop so got a friend to check with his snap on scan tool but that won't communicate either, have tried disconnecting battery for a period of time and also tried unplugging the pump control module and there is no corrosion present in the plug, checked the fuse and also made sure there was power at both sides of the fuse which there is

so is there anything else i can check or do you reckon the pump control module is just dead?

regards

Dan

I think I'd start with a new brake light switch!
