Squeal on offside front wheel

Featured Replies

ive had my new vrs for about three weeks now and its developed an intermitant squeel on the os front wheel. noticed it first when i was stuck on the m25 with the windows down. it was only for part of the wheel rotation, dissapeared past about 30 mph, when brake pedal was depressed, but worse on rh lock.

had wheel off, pads look newish, blew brakes out with airline, caliper was free, and this seemed to stop it, came back yesterday, but this time it started when i pressed the brakes, still only at low speed, and seeminly only in dry conditions, still for only part of wheel rotation, when first heard i thought i had got a stone caught in the disc guard,

any ideas as its driving me mad lol

Sounds like a wheel bearing. Or...

A stone etc, caught in the break mechanism.

Take the wheel off and give the caliper and disk a good blast with a jet wash or tap the caliper with the handle of a wire brush etc...
