W Reg Fabia Classic 1.9 SDi

Featured Replies

Hi

Recently purchased a 2nd hand W Reg Skoda Fabia Classic 1.9 SDi, with 110,000 miles on the clock. Runs very well (no visible emissions from exhaust at all), bodywork is fantastic considering it's age. The mechanic friend I took a long to help me choose a car was amazed at the condition of the engine bay - it was immaculate except for the usual dust build up you would expect. The previous two owners appear to have taken very good care of her.

In fact the only major problem I've found so far was after it's first long run (P'boro to Eastbourne and back the following day). The steering is now very heavy after and under braking. I thought that it might be the tire preasures at first, but they appear to be fine.

I'm just your typical late 30s computer geek, work in IT, have children, been married, divorced, and am now engaged. Yup, talking about cars is more interesting ;)

Cheers for the welcome :)

Haven't checked the levels yet - not too clever under the bonnet of a car, but I intend to have the battery out so I can check the fluid level soon.
