It Was bound to Happen!

Featured Replies

I was cleaning the inside of my car on Saturday..

Pulled the back mats out... oh, hmm.. MOLD?

Yup.. Water in the rear foot wells.... but wait, hang on.. that's not mold.. it's suds??? And it hasn't rained for days??... And actually.. It didn't smell all that bad (Cuz, I woulda thought I'd a smelt it before finding it)..

Sooooooooooo,

Where does the rear washer pipe go? Could this be screen wash?

I had problems with the rear wash wipe about 3 months ago.. Mechanic checked the system and got it working again (but never at the same pressure as before it stopped).. Split Pipe?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Rob.

could well be, think there was a tech guide for fixing the pipe,

Now look what you've done!

AWWWWWWWWWWWWW man, I didn't mean to kill a kitty.

Didn't search because was trying to find out if this was a possible cause rather than the fix.... Did how ever search now.. but only found guide for a Octty Estate.. and that for the join in the boot..

did i miss a guide?

Thanks.

May sound stupid but if you had just cleaned your car could it be your door sills leaking and the water from your bucket in the foot wells?

Naaaa, Didn't do the outside of the car (in a Dr Cox Voice) "And, Oh,.. My God, does it need it"... SWMBO came home from work so had to stop playing and go in for me tea! Gotta be another slippery soapy source!

I think it must be that pipe join as it's on the passenger side only and from what i can see in the pix (Thanks Rich) it's a very likely cause indeed!

Will poke around this weekend!

Thanks for everyones help!

Rob
