using trolley jack to jack up fabia

Featured Replies

Hi all im trying to jack up the rear and wondering the best place to site my tolley jack,

I tried using the scissor jack on the sill points and couldnt get it high enough to site the axel stands under the rear spring cups.

I am worried the sill points are too flimsy as one startd to bend when I put the axel stand there

Probably not best practice (so usual disclaimers apply etc etc), but can you put a lump of wood under the scissor jack so you can get more height.

i used some wood for protection between the car and the trolley jack.

Have done this a couple of times and have no problems at all with marking of the car.
