Tow bar wiring

Hi Guys,

Anyone out there have any knowledge or experience of wiring up socket for towbar, not the caravan accessory one, I have heard conflicting reports that it has to be a car specific wiring loom, and am wary of doing damage to car electrics, the car is 2008 Fabia estate model.

I have wired up sockets before on previous vehicles, but want to check if this can be done, any advice greatly appreciated.
