Battery Problem

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've got an octy RS here in India. Its under a year old. The problem is I have a couple other cars and I sometimes I forget I've got this car, I dont even start it for a month. Abt 4 months ago , the battery died, so I sent the battery to the dealer for replacement and installed a Panasonic batt. And then I didnt start it for 2 months, all this while the car is covered and kept. Now this battery also died. I'd like to know if i need to be worried about anything else or its just my negligence that has costed me a new battery.

Thanks in advance.

Hiya. I don't know about your consumer rights laws, but under UK law the second battery would be "not fit for purpose", unless there's an electrical fault draining it. If you've got a "motor pool" sitting idle for extended periods like this, what about getting some battery savers or isolator switches for the cars that don't get much use?
