Service Costs - 60,70,80k

Featured Replies

Looking at a potential purchase of a '54 plate Octy II TDi Sport with 50k on the clock.

Any ideas of costs associated with the above services for me to use as a bargaining tool with the dealer?

TIA

It should have variable servicing (if it hasnt, it soon can) so have a check on when its next due.

So, after that service, if driven quite sensibly you wont want another till another 20k.

I drive my vRS quite hard at times and the MFD still states that a service will be due at 18.5k or another 340 odd days, said that since day one of owning it.

The cambelt needs replacing at around 60k so that will be a big one, I was quoted between £400-700 at main dealers!!. My last major at 40k was £245 and minor was about £170

After 60k your warranty is finished with at Skoda so take it too a specialist or independent.

Any decent VW Specialist will be able to do the work and probably cheaper. I haven't used a main dealer in 5 years and have a good indy just down the road from work.

Cambelt is 80k on an Octavia 2 diesel.
