Jabba generic map - more worthwhile?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Currently throwing money into my savings account to have my car remapped at Jabba next month. Now, after much searching on the site I'm struggling to find any real reviews of the Jabba generic map on the vRS, particularly the Fabia. Lots of stuff regarding the Octy though.

I was originally going to go for a Jabba custom one but at £100 cheaper (and as I have no other engine mods) perhaps the generic one is more worthwhile?

I'm looking for the usual things - broad spread of torque (not all at once at 1800 rpm), clutch/ flywheel/ turbo friendly as opposed to just an attempt at big figures etc and to try and avoid a hugely sooty back end.

Can the generic Jabba map provide me with all those things or should I seriously be thinking of putting the extra £100 aside for the rolling road jobby? Does anyone have a RR map of the torque spread with the generic map from Jabba or can describe the power delivery?

Thanks in advance,

Chris.

I would be interested to see all that info too.

I have been thinking about a remap for a long time, but never had the balls to go ahead with it...... i just don't wanna break anything on my car!!

I know my car isn't a fabi vrs but essentially its the same pd130 engine. I found that the Jabba Generic remap make such a huge difference to the car, it pulls much better and is a bit more smokey too.

for what it costs it's a worthwhile mod.

Unless you've got other mods, i.e full stainless, decat, pd160 + panel, different turbo. I would say a custom is the way to go to get the max out of those mods.

But in your case the generic one will be fine
