Nice to see you all. I'm currently in UK but will go back home to China in couple of weeks.

I'm quite interested in Skoda Octavia which is currently manufactured in Shanghai by Volkswagon. The model is quite different from the ones in UK. They put a 1.8 TSI volkswagon pertrol engine and a 6 Tiptronic transmission in the Octavia to give a 160 hp power and 9s 1-60 accesslaration which I think is extremely powerfull for this type. This basic model's price is about 10.8k in uk pounds and may still go down.

How do you guys think? worth buying?

I have a question related to TSI engines. Is it more expensive for maintenance or repair? Rumors in China say it will cost 2k pounds if the turbo charger breaks down.

I like the sound of that spec.

2 grand for a new turbo; I'd expect to pay less here, but I suppose the only way of sourcing one in China at present would be through a dealer? That said, subject to changing the oil regularly, and using good quality oil, a turbcharger should last 100_000 miles minimum, and can easily last 4 or 5 times that distance.
