Hi, newbie needs help

Featured Replies

Hi, i cant seem to find any springs for a skoda favorit online or in stores without having to pay over £100+ can anyone help?

i just brought some springs for my Ka for £31 so there has to be some deal somewhere to be had:)

also theres a horrible flat spot just below 3000 RPM and again just bellow 4000 rpm, any ideas?

i saved the car from the scrap yard for £150 with the ONLY problem being a spring pushed through the rotten spring plate on the drivers side suspension leg, no rust under the bonnet, in the boot not even any surface rust or marks so im quite pleased with the buy to be fair :)

Thanks, Chris.

thanks, il give it a go

im thinking of doing some engine modifications since the car was £150 i have nothing to lose really :) something to tat with

im told that to get a good turnout you need to start with a good engine and it needs to run good, and the engine has 23000 miles on the clock so it could work maybe?

il call this guy tomorow day and see what he says

He's a top bloke, used to be the mechanic for the 1993 Shell Skoda Trophy winning Favorit, and has since been mechanic for a few other Favorit/Felicia rallycars, so knows all about tuning the 135/136 engine etc.

Enjoy the car mate, I used to love my Favorits - quite quick and you can surprise a few 'lesser' marques in them too!
