Does anyone have a straight front on shot of a standard pre 2000 Octavia vRS please?

I've replaced the wings, lights and bonnet on mine, and now the bumper doesn't fit,and I on't know whether i've bought a late bumper and early lights, or vice versa.

Pics of an early car would help immensely.

All vRS's are the same.

Did you use the clear plastic lights or the early glass ones with the reflector pattern on the glass? I believe you need the late plastic ones, the lights and bumper slope down toward the grill where as the early ones have parellel lights and bumper to the grill then the bumper drops down to clear the grill.

I think youre probably spot on there, sounds like a pre-facelifted set of lights etc.

vRS didn't come out until mid 2000 anyway and always had clear facelifted lenses.

In that case, I have bought non vRS parts from an early car, because the headlights are glass.

So I guess my bumper is okay. Do I just need to change the headlights and indicators, or does the bonnet have to be changed too?? (and does the landing panel have to be changed as well, or will the later (vRS) lights fit into the earlier landing panel?

Does anyone have any front on pics of an early non vRS moel then, so I can physically see the differences??

The headlights are different

Mark is using eyebrows on his , so no need to change the lights

The bumper bar is slightly different too , may need a little bit of meat taking off here and there

One way to tell is look to see whether it has model badges on the front wings.LX became Classic, GLXi became Ambiente, SLXi became Elegance.So, ones with Classic/Ambiente or Elegance badges will be facelifted - providing they are late X-reg cars onwards, unless some numpty has rebadged their R or S reg!!!
