Need clarification

Here's the thing. As many of you have remapped your vRS's and my mates have just had their Golf GT TDI 130 and Ford Transit remapped with Celtic Tuning I am seriously considering it as an option when I get my Fabia in a few months. Their remaps were done with Celtic Tuning so now the Golf is kicking out 190 bhp and loads of torque. I told him that he would need to uprate the clutch due to there being so much more power and torque, he said he wasn't bothered. He has enough money to fix any problem but I don't have that luxury as I'm a student and he has a full time job.

So if I do decide on a remap with Celtic Tuning I will be wanting to change the clutch just so it's more reliable. So what's the best way to do it - remap 1st then new clutch or clutch 1st? Also while I'm on the subject what is the best clutch to go for? What do you have? Where is the best place to buy it? Are there better clutches than others. I have heard that clutches that are more for racing tend to be more hard work for everyday driving.

And another thing. Apart from having to change the clutch are there any other disadvantages to remapping as I have seen many positives but not many negatives.

And before anyone says it I have used the search but I wanted a more definitive answer as so many of you have other mods.

How about voiding any remaining warranty and, for young drivers like yourself, a possible hefty increase in insurance premium or even no quote at all?

I just seriously looking into what options I have with the vRS. I may not do much to it in the 1st year but after that and when the insurance goes down then I was considering a remap. I just wanted more info and what my options were. Always like to be prepared. Also the car more than likely won't have any remaining warranty.
