front brake upgrade fabia 1.4

Featured Replies

Having done a search in the forum I feel I need to ask what parts I need to change so that I upgrade the front brakes on my fabia 1.4 101hp from 256mm to 288mm or 312mm. If the information is somewhere in the threads and I missed it, I apologise to the admins for posting the same thread again.

Also which model's parts are compatible with fabia concerning the front brake system?

The fabia vrs has the 288mm setup and will fit a standard fabia but you will need, calipers carriers, discs pads and also the hubs.

Same with the 312's which come off many VAG cars. Octy vrs and audi tt 225 being 2 of them, these require 16" wheels

16" wheel is not a problem as I already have them. Do I need ABS sensors, cos I've heard fabia's are not compatible with other car's.

Also If I can't find the carriers can I have the existing modified so that the calipers can be fitted on them?

Ok will do thanks.Just another question the calipers for a 288mm setup can be used for 312mm as well?

I have the 288mm set up lying about if you want them.. calipers and carriers but youd need new discs and pads and hubs
