VRS Standard Downpipe?

Featured Replies

HI.

Was just wondering if anybody has got a photo of the standard VRS exhaust down pipe and cat.

The reason I am asking is because I was thinking of de-catting it with a MK4 Golf TDI down pipe fitted with the 150BHP ARL type engine (which I have acquired from work)

I have attached photo's of the Golf down pipe if anyone know's what the Fabia pipe looks like and can advise on this.

I have already got a Miltek stainless steel cat back exhaust fitted and was hoping for little improvement from the decat.

Thats different to the fabia one, Havent got a pic but I can see its different ;)

jabbasport and star performance advise against a de cat as it can lead to turbo problems, esepcially with a remap

I don't suppose you know how they are different do you?

I looked on ebay at de-cats and they seem to look exactly the same but wasn;t sure hence the post.

Cheer's.

Do they advice against a de-cat with out a re-map? As I haven't yet re-mapped my car.

The fabia one doesnt have the Kink and its a lot shorter too.

no probs.

no loss, no gain I suppose

should be okay a decat on standard tune, its when the car is remapped turbo issues occur.
