new fabia tiptronic...help!!!

Featured Replies

Hi everybody from Spain.

First of all, thanks for your good forum!!!

I have a question for you. I have already bought a new skoda fabia 1.6 16v with TIPTRONIC automatic transmision... but i have never read nothing about this model in Spain.

I think that in Europe automatic transmision are more usual than in Spain, so, which are you experience with the Fabia tiptronic?

Haves a good brakes?

It is enough powerfull 105 hp for a tiptronic fabia?

Do you think is a good buy for a old man ( 80 years old) ?

We will have the new fabia in August, so I will try to introduce some pictures for you.

Sorry for my english... thank you very much from Madrid!!!

Hiya welcome to Brisky :) Never driven the tiptronic fabia but I am sure that it will be plenty powerfull enough. afaik you can either leave the car in fully auto mode like any other auto or in tiptronic mode selecting the gears semi manually by nudging the stick. I am sure it will be an excellent buy for you giving the best of both worlds :) Brakes will be fine unless you are planning on track days and motorsport , look forward to the pictures and your experiances

Hola!

Enjoy your car, your car is pretty nice and strong, it has enough power in it!

Hi Josely, like you I am new to this forum. Also I will shortly be new to Skoda ownership.

I have a 1.6 Tiptronic on order which I am scheduled to collect next week. When I test drove it I found the performance and braking to be more than adequate. I did wonder if it would be a bit underpowered and lacking in torque especially coming from a 2.2 turbo diesel but it did not dissapoint at all. Since the auto transmission is so smooth, cannot think of a better small automatic for young and old alike - nice and relaxed with plenty of power if needed.

Hope you enjoy it.
