Ball joint adjustment..........

Featured Replies

What is the best setting for the ball joint (front wishbone)????

I need my tracking done and I have a fair amount of negative camber. Their is a small amount of adjustment on the three 13mm bolts linking the lower wishbone to the ball joint.

Is negative camber bad? Other than for tyre wear - which i'm not bothered about.

The adustment is usually so smll its makes very little difference to the alignment.

I'd set them in the middle if there is such a thing.

Mine the same Steevie Push the bottom of the wheel in but as Ross says it make naff all difference.

Negative camber looks cool! Should make the car more stable when cornering hard too.

Other than tyre wear, and straight line stability, i'd say its all good!

By the sounds of it you can't adjust it too much anyway, so go for it and see how it feels....

It depends on what you're trying to do, and how hard the suspension is in roll anyway.

More camber will destabilise the car in a straight line, but improve turn-in, and may increase grip on lock.
