Having been a forum member and found some useful stuff regarding my Fabia vRS I have a question...

I have acquired a 1996 Felicia 1.3 to do a "banger rally" to Prague in.Everything has gone well with the preparation except for one thing. The coolant that passes through the inlet manifold, is it for warming up the manifold during cold mornings or cooling it?

I am tempted to bypass it as the core plug has corroded and i would like the option of bypassing it if the core plug won't come out easily for replacement.

Any ideas..

I'm using in august so if its a cold start thing then i'll bypass it.

By the way, I paid £100 for it in december, with no MOT. I bled the brakes and gave it a once over and all it failed on was headlamp alignment( the usual problem with the fluid filled adjusters dying). I am well chuffed.

With the price of scrap as it is its got to worth £350 with a years MOT.

Cheers Mark.
