I think I must be getting old. I don't exactly drive like a saint and I've never had a problem with understeer. I think people that do could probably do with modifying their driving style (which doesn't necessarily mean that you will go any slower). Feed the power in slowly instead of banging your foot to the floor (this will also help avoid the traction control kicking in). Cheapest option is some self-control!
