tyre pressures

Featured Replies

hi there just fitted my octy wheels and 215/40/r17 tyres but not sure what tyre pressures to set them to, anyone have any idea?

cheers -tim-

Tyre pressures are dependent on the weight of the car.

So what ever pressures you used to use for the old tyres should still be used for the new ones.

34psi for me everytime,

Congrats on the 215's ;) Far superior to the skinny 205's

My 205s look ok?

just opted for the 215's for abit more rim protection

My 205s look ok?

My 17's had 205/40/17 falken ze512's on them and they looked mega stretched so opted for the 215's, look spot on fitted and offer more rim protection also dont affect handling ride etc

Also more grip with 215's ;)

Think you keep them the same sort of tyre pressure.

wasnt sure because of going up to 17's

I was the same on one of my previous cars went from 14 inch to 17 inch and I asked about that and the garage said pressures should be kept about the same.
