testing electronics light, car very stuttery..

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I hope you might be able to shed some light on this, as cant get car into JBS (for diagnostic) until late next week...

Anyway, the testing electronics light has come on, when i was chnaging from 5th down to 3rd (40mph) didnt think this would be a problem, but it was flashing on and off (which i've not seen before), then it went solid, for similar period of time, then flahing again (this was last night).

Drove to work today and noticed that when the light is flashing performance is really poor, very 'juddery' up hills in 1st n 2nd gears, then when light goes back to solid, it seems like i have a bit better performnce once more, and not so 'juddery'.

I know a fault code is really needed (dont have vag-com though :( ), and i have searched on here, and have found a few threads, some pointing it too lambda sensor, coil pack or even split pipe, but i've not read in any of the threads that people have experienced the lumpy sound of the engine or the juddering... thats why i wanted to ask advice...

Dont want to risk driving into work again, just in case it gets worse... so bus for me then :(

Least save some fuel eh... the cost of Vpower these days :o

Details of car should be in signature :)

thanks

lee
