vRS 4.5 annoyances (and birds!)
No bird related issues for me but one thats crept in recently is the over-sensitivity of the parking manoeuvre braking. I rarely drive forward into spaces so the whilst the rear parking sensors can be irritating they can at least be adjusted in the settings. I can now however, count on one hand in the last month the number of times the brakes have slammed on whilst reversing. It's obviously a me thing in that I might be a bit close but I can see daylight in between vehicles in my mirrors I wish to continue but my car says no. It's then infuriating to get out and find you've not hit anything (always best to check). The first time it did I was actually convinced I did hit something and spent a few mins checking surroundings but no.... and it's quite impressive how much force can be generated at 2mph and your head is thrown back against the head rest (even my wife has commented on it when she never has an opinion on cars...). I tried turning it off in settings, but I've since found out it doesn't save - I wish there was a way of reducing the sensitivity as it is good to have the reassurance. I appreciate I'm going to be in the minority with this one!

MK4 RS whole body vibrations at higher speeds?
Quick update on my position. Now 4000 miles in - had an alignment check and all wheels checked for imperfections. Required a 4 wheel alignment and 3 of the 4 wheels needed quite a lot of re-balancing. Seems to have sorted my issue but I'll find out for certain in the next couple of weeks as I've the best part of 1500 miles planned. Fingers crossed... 🤞

MK4 RS whole body vibrations at higher speeds?
For my situation I've got the ability to compare this directly to my previous vehicle which had an almost identical issue but far more noticeable. I put that down to me being careless over the speed humps at work (rubber ones which when new are very harsh and continuously replaced as heavy goods vehicles were ironing them out) although both the forums and the garage I took it to told me this was a common problem with the alloys. Get to 72mph and it was like a switch was flicked - a few mph more and the steering wheel vibration was unbearable. Mine by comparison is a mild vibration but I'm possibly paranoid from my own experience. The tyre pressures were fine on receipt. I even had to increase them for my long journey. 99% of the time it's all good, only motorway speed does it become more noticeable. Main issue is family are a 9 hour drive away! Music does the good job of taking my focus away for now but I am intending to get the tracking checked at which point I'll request the alloys are reviewed too.

I'm going to try and sit tight for a bit to see how it develops so looking forward to hearing your outcome.

MK4 RS whole body vibrations at higher speeds?
I fear I have a similar issue which I've been trying to tell myself doesn't exist. The vibrations are at similar speeds and also noticeable in the seat but less so on the steering wheel. In addition to all the pot holes on UK roads at the moment I have a lot of speed bumps at my work. I managed to warp 3 wheels on my previous Alfa Guilia which is a common occurrence due to the way they are made. I'm really hoping I haven't done the same again. Planning to get it checked in the not too distant future although it's certainly not as bad as on the Alfa. Cost me nearly £250 to get those ones straightened.... 🫣

Exciting
Fair shout - for me it's like for like as my Alfa had a 50 litre limit too. At the end of the day I doubt any of us bought a vRS for efficiency but in today's climate avoiding the motorway fuel tax is preferable!

Exciting
2000 miles in on my 4.5 vRS and just completed my first south-north UK journey - 464 (95% motorway) miles in a day. I was hoping to get a slightly higher mpg figure compared to my previous Alfa but surprisingly it was slightly lower on the same journey (42mpg versus 44mpg) - maybe thats the slightly better power to weight on the Alfa. More importantly, I was trying to complete the journey on a single tank of fuel (have tried this with every car I've owned over the years). Having topped up just short the predicted figure did run close to the overall journey so maybe it's a bit of the car still learning my driving style. Although I appreciate it's very much driving style/road/weight dependent, I'm interested if anyone has any similar experiences by comparison. We had torrid weather the majority of the journey so that could also have played a part. Usually when I fill up I'm a good 7-9 litres still in hand... Anyway, boring stats aside I continue to be impressed by the balance of a great cruiser (comfortable/practicality) and having a hoon around the back roads. The steering feedback is reassuring and the low down pick up is appreciated at busy junctions. I've solved a few alert/notification bug bears but one that still confuses me is every time I pull up to a junction the park assist screen appears on screen. Not ideal when you're following sat nav! Anyone know how to get rid of it or only me that has it?

Guilia still the best looking saloon out there for me. Reliability is far better than projected - you just have to drive it as the electrical problems are mainly caused by battery issues. The only car I've ever owned where I couldn't not look back on it as I got out... 😍 The vRS is no looker by comparison but I'm reaching an age where it just strikes that balance. Mine is in Space Violet, haven't seen another on the road yet - I quite like having something unique.

Hi, I went lease exactly because of this. Found a car in stock at the end of Skoda FY with DCC (and quite a few other options) and with our roads currently I wouldn't be without it. Quite a big difference between sport down to softest damper setting. I came from an Alfa Guilia which had lots of forum chat so agree it's a bit of a difference but I think thats down to the driver difference Skoda attracts. Had a couple of CR TDIs earlier in my car life so knew what I was getting going back again. Nice bit of punch - not as agile as the Alfa but better build quality, more practical and refined. That makes me sounds old... maybe because I can't stop it from happening!

Centre Caps for 2025 VRS
I'm also in the market for the new vRS logo variants but also coming up short. Just because I like to be different, I've found some monte carlo variants though which I'm thinking may work if I match the finish of the wheel nut covers: Center wheel caps with new 2012 logo - original Skoda Auto,a.s. - MONTE CARLO black version (F9R) | Kopacek.com - Skoda Tuning with worldwide express shipping

0.5-second audio dropouts with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth…
Hi, I'm just awaiting my vRS to arrive so having a general browse. Out of interest, have you tried a wired connection? I have previously used after market wireless car play that tends to randomly do the same half second cut out although not as frequent as this. However, if I used a USB directly (in order to also charge as no wireless charging either) from your phone there are no issues which to me proved the after market device is the culprit. I know it's not a fix but may help to identify root cause?
