Vrs service

Featured Replies

Had my vrs about 2months now with no problems. Car has done 43,000 miles and in log book states service needs doing at 44k. The service light has come on, even though its at fixed intervals, not sure ifits supposed to but i guess it can be turned off easily (when i read the manual).

Now the cambelt has been changed at 36k and last service at 34k states its had brake fluid, air filter element plus a oil change. On the inspection sheet at bottom its had the following carried out (40,000 service): headlight adjustment, v belt check, spark plug change, power steering fluid top up, airfilter.

I presume thats a major service not just the intervals, although its not had the haldrex oil filter change, but not sure about fuel filter either.

Can anyone shed some light as what it needs as im not going to take it to Skoda, am i right in thinking its just a oil change and oil filter.

Sorry for sounding a bit dumb but its bit of a change from a Focus. =-)

thanks in advance.

just give mark a ring, he will let you know Simon used to have one

probs will do, need brakes changing aswell, think ill get OEM discs but uprated pads.

Service indicator on mine goes into a count-down mode at 11 months or 11_000 miles from last service (on fixed).

yeah it will count down 11 months or 1000 miles IIRC

mine is on variable and it comes up 1000 and counts down. only appears when you switch ignition on.

The vRS doesn't have 4WD so there is no Haldex oil filter to change.
